She was just a regular, unwanted kid, until she was lucky enough to get a job under the best magician in the world! Unfortunately for her, her new boss is a self absorbed sociopath.
Updates are currently Monday, with some sporadic mid-week updates if I have time!
I think I've only commented once, I need to change that :C
Well, last time I left a truckload of feedback and this time I only have a small bit. It's not very relevant or anything and it's more of a personal opinion, but I like to get feedback, so... I hope you like it, too? XD
I love the comic and like I said, I much prefer this post Genderbender version to the original! However, I've found myself a tab bit more removed from the dialogue. It feels a little like any character can/would say anything the others would, too. More like a broad script penned by one person than a bunch of individual voices. I dunno if that's just me, or not, but I figured I may as well drop an honest opinion.
That small gripe aside, the writing itself is still very witty and enjoyable!
I don't really get what you mean. All the characters would say what they would, just like in the other comic.
For instance, in this page Wallis is obviously messing with Harold in a way Harold simply wouldn't act towards Wallis. And I doubt Assistant would pick on either of them. Wallis is always very cocky in the way he speaks, while Harold and Assistant are not. Assistant also acts awkward beyond belief, which Harold doesn't, and certainly Wallis doesn't.
I respectfully disagree with your statement on that, they all act in the way their own character would. If you're comparing how they act now with how they've acted in the old version (just going on an assumption), well thats just an unfair comparison, considering the two are so vastly different, and the dialogue in the last version was painfully forced.
I mean this in the kindest way possible, of course. Even though I disagree, I'll take what you say into account, and I'll recheck over my work and see for myself. :>
No. No, I will not be converted. I will always ship WallisxAssistant. There's no way I will join in this HaroldxAssistant crap and that will not chan-
AHMAHGAAAAW HIS FACE DID YOU SEE HIS FACE OH MY GOSH IT'S TOO ADORABLE MY GOD THAT IS SO KYOOOOOT AND WHY AM I ENJOYING THIS SO MUCH? ;A;
(But it's gonna take more than that to convert me. >:D)
So much better. :>
I'm happy for the GenderBend on this. And especially for this scene. God, Assistant x Harold. Too Cute. If it had been the other way it wouldn't have had the same feeling. It would have been just meh dude's tired and accidentally fell asleep on my shoulder shove. With a girl it's like; "Oh shit...what do I do!? What do I do!?" Hehe Much love on this buddy! <3
@ShanaFlareon: Captain, our ship is ready. We have at least one smart cannonball to defend her integrity while our enemies still eye the waters hungrily.
Captain: Aye, then we sail!
...who will be the captain though haha
@SpiralPen: haha its no problem. Truth is, I've brought this up in a journal before, is even though they both have the same characters, everything is so incredibly different and they aren't necessarily being written as the same genre anymore either. (Still comedy but with a lot more development and plot involved). I could write them the old way if I could, but I felt a lot more subtlety was necessary. Especially since in the old version I feel as if I sacrificed the characters I wanted to portray, for gag-a-day pages. Give em time, I bet you'll like what I got in store!
I can't believe she's sleeping through all that bickerin- oh wait, yes I can, I do it all the time when there's a thunderstorm outside...I hate that. But this is just too cute. Thank goodness I like both GloomxFem!Assistant and HaroldxFem!Assistant. Win win, yes?
Maybe a love triangle? *drolls slightly*
