She was just a regular, unwanted kid, until she was lucky enough to get a job under the best magician in the world! Unfortunately for her, her new boss is a self absorbed sociopath.
Updates are currently Monday, with some sporadic mid-week updates if I have time!
(also is the 'comaverse' as I call it just the default dream world for her now? Has she always dreamed here? Was it only unlocked by the wand that was given to her by what I assume is a dream demon? That could explain her suddenly having both legs, an up-to-date outfit, and the rainbow hair. Normal.)
So, not only is she probably dreaming, but she's also preforming for the kids.
I find it interesting how in this world, a magic show is about creativity and mystery, instead of the magic itself, because everyone already has magic.
That was rude, and blunt, but not wrong. (Kinda sums up Wallis in general.) As for her presentation, it had confidence, it had a decent pose, but he's right it was lackluster. It gives off that 'hey check this out this is gonna be cool' vibe rather than that 'I'm gonna blow you away and look fabulous while doing it' vibe that Wallis perpetually radiates. (Or at least, when he's on stage.)
I agree with @THAT guy. She doesn't have the certain type of vibe that Wallis has when he poses. She does seem to give off a 'hey look this is gonna is gonna be cool vibe. Wallis's vibe is more like a vibe that gives off a sort of 'Hey I can look awesome and make you impressed at the same time' sort of vibe. (Also I love all the kid expressions that the kids give off in the first pannel...SO FRICKIN CUTE!!! AGH!)
I think her presentation could use just a LITTLE bit of work. Apart from that tiny Wallis is just giving his opinion but if people think it rude, just whatever, that's THEIR opinion.
(This was a bit to ranty I'll stop now lol)
Wallis you little--
Okay, so this is my first comment on his we comic. It's long overdue. My friends recommended it to me, and I finally decided, "Why not, I'll give it a try. Besides, I've never read a we comic anyways."
I was hooked. I binge read it all. Plus, I've started reading more webcomics, so thank you!
I feel like I need to acknowledge these characters and their depth. It's truly amazing. One thing that really hit me hard is when Seaweed is in the hospital, and she takes a deep breath, sighs, then puts on a smile for Assistant. That really got to me, and I really got Seaweed. And I completely understand Harold trying to help her, and avoiding her at the same time, because I think he probably felt guilty.
And Hobo! Hobo! He's the sweetest thing EVER! He's wonderful and amazing and AHH I love him so much. And I love everyone else too! Wallis and Harold and Assistant and Seaweed and Purple and Indigo (he's really sweet! And the favorite of one of the friends who got me to read this in the first place)
And even Madam Prez is pretty flippin' cool. She's also evil, but cool.
All in all, this has been a random comment by a guest saying how much she LOVES your comic, CQ.
Lots of love,
@Loverofpiggies: It's interesting to think about how narcissist Wallis who's a celebrity and lives in a mansion used to be a scruffy rude kid who was missing a front tooth (though he's young enough that was probably a baby tooth).
